Agree with
The first multi-word we will look at is ‘agree with’. You can use ‘agree with’ at work to say you have the same opinion as another person. For example, your coworker might say “This new project is very difficult,” and if you feel the same, you can reply by saying “I agree with you.”
You can also use ‘agree with’ to mean you approve of something. An example of this is approving of how someone handled a problem, such as “I agree with how Gift solved the problem for her client.”

‘Agree on’ is the second English vocabulary multi-word to discuss. When we use ‘agree on’, it is about a topic or plan that was discussed by two or more people. One example of using this at your job is when you have a discussion with your team about scheduling your next meeting. You could say, “Everyone agreed on Tuesday for the meeting.”
Another example is if you have a discussion with a client about some details in a contract, you could say, “The client and I agreed on some changes to the payment terms.” This means both you and the client discussed the contract changes and made a decision about them together.

Agree to
Finally, let’s look at the multi-word verb ‘agree to’ which is used in two different ways. First, it is used to refer to an action that two or more people decide to do, and it is followed by a verb. For example, you could say, “The client agreed to meet us tomorrow,” or, “My coworker K. Gift agreed to help me.”
‘Agree to’ can also be followed by a thing, such as in this example: “You must agree to the contract,” or, “New employees must agree to our workplace policies.”
Although the English multi-word verbs ‘agree with’, ‘agree on’, and ‘agree to’ are quite similar, becoming familiar with how they are different is important because they are spoken in so many situations in the workplace.
